About Grand Pines Plaza
Grand Pines Plaza, known to the locals as the "Grand PP", is the setting for Rocky
Atomica's Discord RP group, "Shopping Maul". Shopping Maul is a text-based social
deduction RP based on the party game "Werewolf", where players all receive secret roles.
The Grand Pines Plaza is a dying mall in the town of Arkose Ridge, Colorado (an
amalgamation of cities and towns in the Denver-metro area). Once a bustling shopping
center that welcomed Front Range visitors to a fun-filled day of shopping, the mall sits
in a shadow of its former glory. As retail stores and anchors moved out, the mall turned
into a state of disrepair, especially after hailstorms repeatedly pelted the building
and it caught on fire a few times, and a locust swam one year. The building lay
vulnerable to the elements, decay, and teenager tomfoolery, yet a handful of stores
stubbornly remain. The previous management, however, has decided enough is enough, and
sold off the property as they cannot afford repairs. A new management company quickly
swooped in, hoping they could save the mall and make billions of dollars.
The new property management group, known as 3 W.M. Properties, has decided that in order
to revitalize the mall, they must bring it to the next phase, begining with new
rennovations to replace the outdated and decaying interior. Their next phase? Who knows!

Bigotry both OOC and IC is not allowed, and will lead to immediate ban. This
includes slur usage, as this is a public space.
Please keep drama and personal conflicts outside of this server. If issues occur in
the server, please @ROCK so he can come watch. (If the server conflict escalates,
please go to the voice channel and @ everyone!)
Venting is not allowed unless you are the imposter or a volcano.
If conflicts are seriously preventing your ability to play the game, we will do our
best to tend to the situation.
No spamming.
No AI art, NFTs, plagiarism, or traced art (claimed as your own) in the media
channels.
Crude dirty jokes are ok but please don't publicly RP or share about IRL adult
situations here. So please do not share sexual NSFW art.
Due to the nature of this group, there may be moments that are violent. Violent NSFW
text and art must be censored/spoilered.

Roleplay Rules
ABSOLUTELY NO METAGAMING. This is a secret role game that you must play IC. You'll
ruin all the fun. Also I will make the game more difficult for you specifically if
you metagame.
No godmodding unless you can make me laugh doing it. (But seriously don't godmod.
The other players will be allowed to beat you with a stick.)
In regards to metagaming and godmodding, this also applies to mods. If you feel a
mod is being unfair, please let us know!
Please try not share the name of your given secret role with anyone.
Spoiler and tag sensitive topics in RP and HC.
Try to not purposely exclude others from RP and HC.
For the purpose of this RPG, please do not make RP threads.
"Shipping" is allowed but should not be the main focus in this RP. If mods notice
you are only spending time with your ship partner we will intervene.
Be careful about RP bleed and remember that IC interactions do not reflect IRL
beliefs. If an RP is making you feel strongly about something, we strongly advise
you to step away.
Please roll in the designated dice roll channel.
Alliances are IC ONLY and may only form in natural RP progression - please do not
plan ahead for alliances. We will Get you for this.
There is no strike system, the mods reserve the right to ban anyone on a case by case
basis.

Q: Who is running this group? A: Some weird guy that's obsessed
with volcanoes and lives under a rock. He gave like 20 people lice back in 2024, which
is pretty fucked up of him. He is running this group with Spike and
Mace.
Q: What RP group is this? A: One of Rock's evil twisted social experiments. This group is set up by mods,
but is player-led while mods sit back and watch the chaos ensue.
Q: What genre is this RP group? A: Something between absurdist comedy and drama. It takes place in modern day and
has normal humans, but rule of funny prevails.
Q: What does "rule of funny" mean? A: If you made at least one of the mods laugh, it's allowed.
Q: Can I apply for this group? A: You can if you received an invite. I don't hand out invites, so please do not
ask me. You can obtain those from someone who is already in the server.
Q: What is the duration of this RP group?
A: I typically run short RPs, this one would run for about 4-ish months, from April to
probably August. Be prepared to participate in the game! While we don't do activity
checks, the mods will be actively working with you to make sure you don't fall behind.
Q: How many players are you planning on accepting? A: A maximum of 20 players. Everyone else who applied but did not get a spot is
allowed to spectate IC in a separate spectators channel.
Q: Should I apply even if I know I won't be very active? A: Everyone's role is important to the game, no matter if they have a powerful
role or not. Inactivity imbalances the game, however RP is not required. I will let you
decide if you are able to participate or not.
Q: Can I participate in a future RP group by you? A: Depends on who is asking this! My RP groups open through word of mouth as I
never publicly announce them.
