This website is a personal website where I use to share about characters from my headworld, "The Rock Records". "OutKrop" is canonically a social media website that exists in their universe, so I based this site off of what it would look like. The functions are slightly different than what the "real" OutKrop would do, but many of the character's pages will be personalized according to their own tastes.

This site has gone through multiple iterations throughout the years, first being built on Wix, then Weebly, Google Docs, and Carrd, until I finally decided to pick up coding again due to the other sites' limitations in regards to the vision I had for my site and general frustrations I had with social media sites. It also serves as a place for character documentation as I'd rather be blown up than try to use Toyhou.se or other character storage sites ever again. Some fun facts about "OutKrop":

• Your account can get deleted without warning if you gain too many followers.
• A public "dislike" option (with the icon being a tomato!)
• Functions that notifies all your friends in real time if your ass is getting beat online.
• Critics will claim the site habors very "anti-influencer" sentiment with no opportunities to grow a brand or business here, even seeing users become hostile to micro-celebs, but that is intentional.

OutKrop terminology:

• Strata = Newsfeed, Timeline, Dashboard, whatever you call it.
• Unit = A post, though most modern users just call it a "post".
• Weather = To "fave" a post. If a post gets "weathered" too much, there is an animated feature where it breaks apart on the screen.
• Erode = To "reshare" a post. Posts that get "eroded" too much disappear off the site's code.

Hello, I am Rocky Atomica (but please just call me ROCK!) and I created this website to display and share my original characters. You can find information about them on their own customized webpages and even references and fanwork permissions. Consider this site to be my chosen main format of storytelling about my original story and my characters' lore (Screw comics and animation!).

As a kid, I would create webpages for my Neopet characters on the site's petpages and it was the most fun I've ever had, despite how rudimentary my layouts were and how I could hardly understand English. It was how I could express my character writing and share art of them, but I think the best part was getting to trade art with other users that also made custom pages of their Neopet OCs! Now that I am older (and know much more English!), I can understand coding a lot more. Working on this site rekindled my excitement for coding character webpages and brings me a lot of joy, so I hope you will have fun browsing through it! ...And maybe even inspire you to make your own character site?
